First baby boomers celebrate musical milestone
“Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I’m 64?” When the first wave baby boomers (born in 1946) heard this song, they couldn’t even imagine reaching age 64. But this year they did, in fact, turn 64 and next year they will reach the big 65, becoming eligible for Medicare.
One enterprising high school reunion committee decided to create a special first wave baby boomers event for graduates of 12 different local high schools. Statistics reveal: “Twenty percent of each class is deceased, and 20 percent is missing. That’s the nature of being 64 years old.”
Are you a first wave baby boomer, alrady 64, still healthy – dancing, partying, working hard, creating, or living happily in retirement? If you are a baby boomer, Are you healthy now and are you taking steps to keep yourself healthy in the years ahead?
So much is known about what it takes to remain healthy. Why don’t we all follow the script? What stops us from being all we can be for the rest of our lives?
