Are YOU Filled With Anxiety?

Are you living an easy and peaceful existence with few problems,
few worries and a calm relaxed demeanor most of the time?  Then you
are one of those rare and lucky people who could help a lot of people
by sharing your secret.  The truth is that most of us have
more stress and worries than we feel we can handle – money concerns,
family discord, health issues, fear of failure, even fear of success.
Many of us want to improve our level of satisfaction and worry about
what we can do now to create the desired changes.

In this post I want to share with you a powerful infographic created by

Hi Dr. Erica,
the Infographic is showing some shocking statistics, especially when it comes to the amount of ‘medicine’ that is being prescribed and consumed!
Recently I learned that our brain chemistry changes due to events of any form of abuse, especially the emotional kind.
Wouldn’t it be nice if people had easy access to compassionate and patient support so they could work throught the ‘stuff’ underlying the anxiety.
Thank you for raising the awareness!

Yorinda,
I have trained in a wide variety of body therapy and bodymind therapies that I have often wondered how people manage when they have not received the gentle and tender support. What happens is they are filled with anxiety with no easy outlet. You are so right, what a wonderful world it could be if everyone could easily receive compassionate support.

Warmly,

Dr. Erica

Meditation, when done right, is a great way to reduce anxiety. I feel its relieving effects almost instantly.

Michael,
Yes, meditation can work wonders if you are experienced with it and your anxiety is mild. However, a person with intense anxiety and panic attacks may need some outside assistance, someone who can be a voice of reasons and calm when your own voice is screaming inside. Even listening to a tape may not work in severe cases, but a human being, soothing and calming and assisting, along with gentle caring touch, can make a huge difference in one’s level of anxiety.

Warmly,

Dr. Erica

As someone who have a moderate to serious anxiety, it’s really hard. Sometimes you don’t want to be alone with your thoughts. It’s way too stressful to manage most of the time.

Shaun,

When you have a lot of anxiety and don’t want to be alone with your thoughts, it is important to find someone you can talk to. A qualified psychotherapist can help you to talk about what you are thinking and to make sense of it and even create new and more helpful thoughts.

Warmly,

Dr. Erica
